The Balance Innovations CAST system provides an innovative solution to till management. In cashier-accountable environments, valuable time can be lost when cashiers wait to receive or turn in a till.
The CAST system ensures that the appropriate till is always ready and waiting for each cashier as they start their day or come back from a break. The system also allows cashiers to obtain or return tills any time of the day or night quickly and easily.
How it works:

A manager can prepare tills for distribution at any time of day and then focus attention on other tasks. No longer is it necessary for a manager to be available to hand out or receive tills when each cashier arrives. Following one easy process, all tills are ready and waiting to go out on the floor.
- The manager simply prepares the tills, inserts each one in the appropriate slot, and scans each slot and till.
- Cashiers who are ready to obtain their tills and begin work approach the cashier access side of the CAST system and key in a unique user ID and password. The door to the appropriate till flips open and allows access to the till. The cashier shuts the CAST door and proceeds to his or her assigned register.

When the cashier is done with a shift or is ready for a break, he or she returns to the CAST system and again inputs a user ID and password. A door to an empty slot opens, and a receipt indicating the time the till was returned and the cashier ID is printed out. The cashier places the receipt and the till in the empty slot and shuts the door.
- Because the tills are secure within the cash office, the manager can balance and rebuild the tills when it is convenient. With its simple user interface, the CAST system makes the exchange of tills easy, convenient and secure.
