Balance Innovations to implement VeriBalance® cash office management solutions at RONA

Lenexa, Kan.: Balance Innovations® is working with home improvement retailer RONA to implement its VeriBalance cash office management solution, which offers multi-lingual options, in all of RONA’s corporate stores across Canada. The retailer chose VeriBalance to automate its cash office processes and reduce manual reporting tasks.
“The most significant benefit is the time savings in the cash office and, in turn, the reduction in payroll costs,” said Deanna Clarke, director of standards and procedures for RONA. “The store associates can focus on the customers and improve their experience in our stores. We looked at a few other options, but VeriBalance best suited our business model and required the least change management with our staff. In addition, VeriBalance provides fully translated French and English options, meeting the dual-language requirements of our stores.”
VeriBalance has helped RONA bookkeepers and store management reduce the time they spend performing cash office tasks. Through implementation of VeriBalance and recommended best practices, RONA was able to eliminate manual counting and rebuilding of tills. VeriBalance ensures accuracy and establishes accountability, allowing RONA to require only its vault clerks to count and rebuild the tills with the solution’s step-by-step automated procedures, reducing exposure. This cuts down on wasted labor hours and allows store associates to spend more time working with RONA customers. VeriBalance has also replaced many of RONA’s previously manual reports with automated reporting.
