Solutions Support Specialist
The Solutions Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to Balance Innovations customers.
Solutions Support Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to phone, e-mail, and web-based inquiries from the customer base
- Perform in-depth research into the nature of product inquiries from customers
- Research vendor operating systems and applications
- Reproduce customer environments for the purposes of troubleshooting and bug reporting
- Document product bugs and escalate appropriately to product management and engineering
- Make contributions toward team goals and internal projects
- Develop a detailed understanding of the installation and use of all Balance Innovations products
- Contribute articles to an online knowledge base for both internal and external use
- Recommend additional debugging utilities to product
- Produce technical documentation pertaining to projects, products, and procedures
- Perform basic account management including issue-based conference calls, fact-finding discussions, and potential customer “health” visits
- Perform field observations utilizing time and motion studies to determine potential return on investments
- Provide customer training on products during lab installations, pilots, and rollouts
Requirements/Qualifications
- A tech-savvy individual with the drive to learn new skill sets
- A thorough understanding of Windows XP and Window 7
- Experience supporting, testing, and/or implementing enterprise software products
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
- 40 hours per week (Schedules may fluctuate.)
- On-call and weekend rotation required
- Limited travel may be required. Can reach peaks of 50% (approximately 10 days per month) during rollouts
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quality-related discipline
- Knowledge of Remedy support software is a plus
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus
- Work in retail environment not required, but helpful
