| Quality Analyst
The Balance Innovations Quality Assurance team is seeking a highly motivated Quality Analyst. This individual will ensure that information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. This includes thorough testing of software for proper operation and freedom from defects, documentation and metrics tracking, and working across multiple teams to resolve issues.
This individual acts as a lead within the testing and planning process and, in this capacity, is expected to organize and coordinate the test process on a project or test event and communicate with all levels of leadership within the company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis of specifications and requirements to create test plans and strategies for project assignments
- Preparation of test cases and scripts to meet project deliverables
- Building a detailed understanding of all BI products. May be assigned to an area of specialization related to the BI product suite and identified as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Coaching/mentoring less experienced test team members
- Leading projects to identify and implement improvements to current QA practices
Requirements / Qualifications
- Seven plus years experience with automated testing tools such as IBM Rational Suite or HP’s Quality Center and QuickTestProfessional
- Relational database experience with SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience in full life-cycle testing methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quality-related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active team player who demonstrates sound judgment and interpersonal skills
- Bi-lingual in French or Spanish a plus
- Adaptable in a dynamic, yet iterative, development environment
- Work in a retail environment not required, but helpful
