  Account Manager

Balance Innovations is seeking an Account Manager.

Responsibilities

This individual will be assigned to existing Balance Innovations customers and will be responsible for all aspects of the customer relationship in an account management role including:

  • Establish effective relationships with decision makers and key influencers for each account.
  • Be the key contact and representative from Balance Innovations for each account.
  • Understand the account's business goals and objectives as it applies to Balance Innovations.
  • Advocate for the account by resolving their issues and representing their needs to internal BI personnel.
  • Ensure 100% account satisfaction.
  • Establish an effective sales strategy for each account and lead sales campaigns to expand the use of BI technologies, products, and services within the account.
  • Develop and maintain Sales Account Plans.
  • Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives.
  • Forecast accurately based upon realistic opportunity assessments.
  • Manage and prioritize business opportunities and projects.
  • Create value propositions focused on business change and ROI.
  • Develop effective responses to RFPs
  • Advise clients on complex change management implementations for new releases of software.
  • Identify new business opportunities for Balance Innovations based on customer needs and BI product roadmap.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as an outside Account Executive for an enterprise software company.
  • Knowledge of the grocery or retail industry
  • Point of Sale knowledge, a general understanding of software platforms and the ability to interact with technical groups within assigned accounts.
  • Comfortable discussing and assisting customers in applying technology.
  • Proven ability to make and exceed goal commitments.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining a sales account plan.
  • A proven track record of consistently closing new business opportunities.
  • Good listening skills, consultative selling practices, exploratory information gathering techniques and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, telephone, and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be an effective time manager.
  • Able to obtain the purchase order from the customer.
  • Experience developing effective responses to RFPs.
  • PC literacy -- including Internet, Windows, Outlook and contact management software.
  • Able to travel as required.
